Middle East & North Africa
In a region that straddles two continents and encompasses hundreds of dialects and millennia of history, you’ll find that hospitality and friendliness know no borders. The relative scarcity of tourists makes every experience feel all the more intimate. Everyone knows Egypt, Morocco and Turkey, but that’s just the tip of the sand dune. Africa. It’s on every traveller’s to-do list, but on very few “done” lists. This is a land where the unusual is commonplace and a chance encounter can change you forever. The national parks and game reserves here are so world-famous they’re known by their first names: Kruger, Chobe, Tarangire. 2012 finds us expanding our reach in Africa by digging deeper into Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania and South Africa’s fabled Garden Route. Africa really is like nowhere else on Earth. Prepare to be amazed.

Exotic. Mysterious. Mesmerizing. These are just a few of the words that will leap to mind once you reach the heart of Asia, where time-tested traditions and the modern age live side-by-side in perfect sync. Adventure is always on the menu here, and this year we’ve added a few new flavours: Bali, Bhutan, Borneo, Burma… and that’s just the B’s! From Zen temples that have stood for millennia to ultramodern skyscrapers swathed in neon, Asia is contemporary and timeless, all at once.

Our adventures here are wide-ranging and far-reaching, stretching from the verdant wilderness of Canada’s Pacific Coast through the mighty Rockies to the bustling city streets of the East Coast, down into Vegas the Wild West and across the scenic highways of California. This is the ancestral home of the road trip. Come along for the ride.
