Visit the highlights of Bergen on a leader led orientation walk with the option of a freshly caught lunch at the famous fish markets. Transfer by scenic ferry and bus along the Hardangerfjord to Odda, our base in the heart of the fjords.
Known as the Valley of the Waterfalls, Oddadalen is a spectacular wooded ravine adorned with numerous beautiful falls. Stretch your legs on a 10km (6.2 mi) warm-up hike along the valley.
Step up the pace today with a 5-hr hike in the Buer glacial valley. The ascent winds upwards past pristine emerald lakes and idyllic pastures dotted with traditional Norwegian huts, opening out to spectacular views of the Buer and Folgefonna glaciers.
A highlight of the week is a challenging full day hike up to the most famous rock formation in Norway. Trolltunga ("the Troll's Tongue") grants breathtaking views from 700m (2,296 ft) above the Ringedalsvatnet lake and surrounding fjordland.
After a short introduction to ice axes and crampons, join an expert local guide for a hike across the frozen landscape of the glacier.
End the week with an idyllic hike to Jordalstølen. Ascend through the green valleys and fields surrounding Odda, stopping to enjoy the great array of mountain plants and flowers and taking in the final views of the fjord.
