Itinerary Notes

This trip is designed for parents and children to enjoy together. You will be travelling as part of a group of families with other children. The itinerary has been designed with the needs of the whole family in mind. We have given this trip a minimum age for this trip to allow you to be sure that you have the right trip for you and your family. Minimum age of 6 years for this trip. Please see the activities for any specific minimum age requirements.

Day 1 Lima

Arrive at any time.

Day 2-3 Amazon Jungle (2B,1L,2D)

Fly to Puerto Maldonado and continue by motorized canoe to our comfortable, intimate, and exclusive G Lodge Amazon. Enjoy guided excursions by expert naturalists to spot wildlife at nearby oxbow lakes, clay licks, and treetop towers. Included rubber boots while at the lodge.

Day 4 Cusco (1B)

Boat transfer to Puerto Maldonado for a flight to Cusco. Explore the many plazas, ruin sites, shops and markets during your free afternoon.

Day 5 Aguas Calientes (1B)

Transfer to Ollantaytambo to catch the train to Aguas Calientes. Settle in and explore the city, taking time to look at the local handicrafts.

Day 6 Machu Picchu/Cusco (1B)

Explore the ruins of Machu Picchu with a local guide. Transfer back to Cusco by train and van.

Day 7 Cusco (1B)

Morning at leisure to visit museums or the famous ruins that tower over the city, Sacsayhuaman. In the afternoon visit the Cusco Kids Project a drop-in program where kids living in extreme poverty are taught important life skills and are served meals to help alleviate their situation.

Day 8 Lima (1B)

Enjoy the morning in Cusco before flying to Lima. Opt for a traditional dinner.

Day 9 Lima (1B)

Depart at any time.
