From close-up encounters with icebergs and glaciers to the region’s plentiful wildlife, this is a voyage of nonstop highlights. Always on the lookout for wildlife you’ll explore this landscape not only by ship but also on foot and by Zodiac. Day 1 Arrive Longyearbyen (D)
Embark the M/S Expedition in the afternoon and depart Longyearbyen in the evening.
Day 2-7 Svalbard Archipelago/Spitsbergen (6B,6L,6D)
Visit ice-covered fjords with breathtaking mountain scenery and glaciers. Spend time steaming through the ice in search of polar bears hunting seals. At one or more of the stops, you may have the opportunity to see polar fox or Svalbard’s unique reindeer. The final itinerary is dependent on ice and weather conditions, which have to be assessed during the voyage.
Day 8 Depart Longyearbyen (B)
Arrive in the morning to disembark.
