Day 1 Arrive Rio de Janeiro
Arrive at any time.
Day 2-5 Ilha Grande / Paraty
Bus and ferry to Ilha Grande. Free time for hikes and walks around the island to explore the beaches. Continue by bus to colonial city of Paraty. Optional cachaça distillery visit or boat tour of the bay and nearby beaches.
Day 6-11 Iguassu Falls / Bonito
Travel by overnight bus to the Iguassu Falls area. Explore both the Argentine and Brazilian sides of the falls, with and optional boat ride near the base of the falls. Continue by bus to Bonito for optional activities like snorkelling in the crystal clear rivers or exploring the nearby caves and waterfalls.
Day 12-15 Pantanal / Corumbá/Santa Cruz (2B, 2L, 2D)
2-day excursion into the wetlands of the Pantanal with a local guide. Opportunities to spot wildlife such as monkeys, macaws, giant otters and caiman. Continue by overnight train into Bolivia to Santa Cruz.
Day 16-18 Sucre
Fly to Sucre. Optional visit to the nearby dinosaur tracks, or explore the beautiful colonial city.
Day 19 Potosí
Travel by bus to Potosí. Optional excursion to a working silver mine or free time to explore the city.
Day 20-23 Uyuni / Salt Lakes Excursion (3B,3L,3D)
Bus trip to Uyuni. Three day 4x4 excursion to the Salar de Uyuni and surrounding desert altiplano with spectacular scenery.
Day 24 Night Bus / Train To La Paz
Travel by bus and train to La Paz.
Day 25 La Paz
Optional city tour and free time to explore the markets and winding streets.
Day 26-28 Puno / Taquile (B,L,D)
Travel by bus through the altiplano, crossing the border, to the Peruvian city of Puno on the shore of Lake Titicaca. For the next 2 days, Visit to the floating Islands of Uros and guided tour of Lake Titicaca with a Homestay in a small village. Optional visit to Sillustani burial site.
Day 29-32 Cuzco
Travel to Cuzco. The next 3 days are free to enjoy a city tour, the city's museums or local markets. Relax and explore the sights and sounds of Cuzco. Rafting, horseback riding and mountain biking are all possible options.
Day 33 Ollantaytambo
Full day tour of the Sacred Valley and Ollantaytambo, including a visit to a local community and various inca ruins.
Day 34-37 Inca Trail to Machu Picchu (3B,3L,3D)
4-day guided Inca Trail hike with visit to Machu Picchu. Optional visit to the Inca Bridge before returning to Cuzco.
Day 38 Arequipa
Fly to Arequipa. Free afternoon to explore. Optional Visit of the Catalina Convent.
Day 39-41 Colca Canyon / Arequipa / Night bus
Guided tour to Colca Canyon to spot condors. Optional visit to local hot springs. Drive back to Arequipa to take a night bus to Nasca.
Day 42 Nazca
Guided tour of Nazca desert cemetery and potters studio. Optional flight over the Nazca Lines.
Day 43 Pisco
Travel to Pisco, on route stop at a winery to discover our Pisco, the national drink is made, and at the Oasis of Huacachina. Optional Sandboarding.
Day 44 Lima
Optional visit to Ballestas Islands before travelling to Lima.
Day 45 Depart Lima
Depart at any time.
