Day 1 Lima

Arrive at any time.

Days 2-3 Cusco (2B)

Fly to Cusco. Free time to explore the city's museums and local markets or take an optional city tour.

Day 4 Sacred Valley/Ollantaytambo (1B,1L)

Full-day guided tour of the Sacred Valley and Ollantaytambo ruins along with a visit to a Planeterra-supported women's weaving project in a local community. Enjoy lunch at the Planeterra-supported Sacred Valley Community Restaurant in Huchuy Qosco, an indigenous village.

Day 5 Aguas Calientes (1B)

Train to Aguas Calientes. Opt to visit the local hot springs or shop in the local market. Those who have pre-booked and purchased the '1-day Inca Trail' hike will disembark the train at 104km and trek to the Sun Gate for the first glimpse of Machu Picchu before re-joining the group at Aguas Calientes for the night (based on permit availability).

Days 6-7 Machu Picchu/Cusco (2B)

Guided tour of Machu Picchu and optional visit to the Inca Bridge before returning to Cusco. Free day in Cusco where active options include whitewater rafting, horseback riding and mountain biking.

Days 8-9 Puno (2B)

Full day of travel by bus from Cusco to Puno. Visit to the floating islands of Uros and guided tour of Lake Titicaca. Optional visit to Sillustani burial site.

Days 10-11 La Paz (2B)

Travel by bus and cross the border into Bolivia, arriving at La Paz. Optional excursion to the Valley of the Moon or explore the city's winding streets and lively markets.

Days 12-13 Sucre (2B)

Fly to Sucre. Optional activities include an excursion to the site of 60-million-year-old dinosaur tracks, a city tour or free time for individual exploration of the city.

Day 14 Potosí (1B)

Travel by bus to Potosí. Optional tour of a working mine or explore the city and visit the Casa de la Moneda museum.

Days 15-17 Uyuni/Salt Flats Excursion (3B,2L,2D)

3-day 4x4 excursion to the Uyuni Salt Flats and surrounding desert altiplano with spectacular scenery. Stay in simple hotels upgraded with solar panels to provide electricity and hot water.

Days 18-19 San Pedro de Atacama

Travel by 4x4 to the border and descend by bus to San Pedro de Atacama, Chile. Included excursion to the Valley of the Moon. Optional excursions to go sandboarding or mountain biking.

Days 20-21 Santiago (1B)

Transfer to the airport at Calama and fly to Santiago. Optional winery visits, city tour or day trips to Valparaíso or Viña del Mar.

Day 22 Santiago (1B)

Depart at any time.
