Day 2 San Francisco/Yosemite National Park
Morning in San Fran, then drive to Yosemite.
Day 3 Yosemite NP
Take short hikes to waterfalls, clear lakes and meadows or walk amongst giant sequoias. Opt to rent a bike in Yosemite Valley (seasonal).
Day 4 Yosemite NP/Bishop
Explore Yosemite on foot before driving through Tioga Pass to Bishop. View Mono Lake and the Tufa Towers on the way.
Day 5 Death Valley/Las Vegas
Visit one of the country's most rugged landscapes – Death Valley. Explore Las Vegas and stroll along the famous Vegas Strip. Opt for a VIP limo experience or a show.
Day 6 Las Vegas
Full day to explore Las Vegas – fill it with shopping, visiting the casinos, lounging by a pool, eating and wandering.
Day 7 Zion National Park/Bryce Canyon National Park
Visit Zion, Utah's oldest national park. Spend time exploring towering cliffs and massive canyon walls, hiking diverse and exciting trails. Arrive in Bryce Canyon for the night.
Day 8 Bryce Canyon NP/Lake Powell
Explore Bryce on trails among the amphitheaters and multi-coloured rock pinnacles (hoodoos) before heading to Lake Powell.
Day 9 Lake Powell/Monument Valley
Visit Lake Powell with a short hike to Horseshoe Bend, shaped by the Colorado River. Discover Monument Valley. Explore this sacred place by jeep, led by a Navajo guide.
Day 10 Monument Valley/Grand Canyon National Park (1D)
Continue to the Grand Canyon. Wander along trails, admire the views and have a pizza dinner at the rim. Opt to take a helicopter flight or watch the IMAX Grand Canyon movie.
Day 11 Grand Canyon NP/Sedona/Scottsdale
Visit Slide Rock State Park. Stop in stunning Sedona on the way to the 'Valley of the Sun'. Gaze at the best-preserved cliff dwellings in North America, Montezuma Castle. In the evening, enjoy a night out in downtown Scottsdale.
Day 12-13 San Diego
Visit the Imperial Sand Dunes before heading to San Diego. Opt to visit Old Town, the Gaslamp district, Sea World or the San Diego Zoo.
Day 14 San Diego/Los Angeles
See the stars on the most famous sidewalk in Hollywood on an orientation walk. Drive through Beverly Hills and check out Rodeo Drive.
Day 15 Los Angeles
Free day to explore. Head to Santa Monica pier or 3rd St Promenade. Visit Venice Beach boardwalk, Sunset Boulevard or shop with the stars on Melrose.
Days 16-17 Santa Barbara
Drive with stops on the way to Santa Barbara. Eat at a food truck, a local specialty, for lunch. Arrive in Santa Barbara and check out the wares at the weekly Arts & Crafts Market by the ocean. On Day 17, explore the city and surrounds with optional surf lessons, bike rentals, kayak rentals, a vineyard tour, local microbrew tour or whale watching.
Day 18 San Simeon (1L)
Drive up the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) and enjoy the view. Stop along the way in Solvang and San Luis Obispo. Enjoy a picnic lunch at Pismo Beach. Opt to rent a dune buggy.
Days 19-20 Monterey
Another gorgeous drive along the PCH. Visit the elephant seals and stop for photos. Great food options abound with dinner choices including the restaurants on Steinbeck's famous Cannery Row. On Day 20, enjoy an included Surrey bike rental and options like kayaking or visiting the famous Monterey Bay Aquarium.
Day 21 San Francisco
Finish the scenic drive in San Francisco. Orientation walk of Union Square, Chinatown and Fisherman's Wharf. Opt for an evening sunset sailing trip.
