Guided city tour. Head to Joshua Tree National Park for some hiking, then cool off in the Colorado River at Lake Havasu.
Day 3 Grand Canyon NP (1B,1L,1D)
Head to the Grand Canyon. Enjoy some hiking and a sunset dinner at the edge of the gorge.
Day 4 Grand Canyon NP/Las Vegas (1B,1L)
Consider an optional helicopter flight over the canyon. Drive Route 66—stop at an off-beat burger joint. Arrive in Las Vegas in time for a guided tour. Take an optional limousine tour.
Day 5 Death Valley NP/Bishop (1D)
Visit legendary Death Valley. Enjoy secluded hot springs.
Day 6 Yosemite NP (1B,1L,1D)
Drive the stunning Tioga Pass to Yosemite National Park. Hike past waterfalls and amongst giant sequoias, or rent a bike and explore.
Day 7 San Francisco (1B,1L)
Drive to San Francisco and enjoy a city tour. Take an optional cable car ride, rent bikes or indulge in sunset sailing.

Full day to explore the city.

Drive along the stunning coast to Mendocino. Walk along the beach, then enjoy S'mores—the classic American campfire dessert.
