ARGENTINA'S "RECIPROCITY FEE":
Effective January 7, 2013 all US, Canadian and Australian citizens are required to pay a reciprocity tax in order to enter Argentina. This reciprocity tax must be paid in advance online with a credit card. Cash at the border or airport is not accepted.

COSTS:
US citizens: 160USD, valid for 10 years
Australian citizens: 100USD, valid for 1 year
Canadian citizens: 75USD for one entry and re-entries from bordering countries within 3 months; OR 150USD for a multiple entry visa valid for 5 years.

This trip crosses the border between Argentina and Chile on Day 3 of this tour. The border name is Cristo Redentor and borders the cities of Santiago and Mendoza.
The second crossing is the border between Argentina and Uruguay on Day 9 of this tour. The border name is at the boat terminal in la Boca and borders the cities of Buenos Aires and Colonia. The third crossing is returning to Argentina from Uruguay across this same border between Colonia and Buenos Aires on Day 11 of this tour.
