Explore the north’s Golden Triangle and cycle the streets of ancient Sukhothai before heading south for peaceful island beaches. You'll explore the perfect islands and swim in the incredible waters. Itinerary Notes

This trip has seasonal itineraries due to monsoon season on the west coast. Please note the correct itinerary for the departure you're travelling on.

Day 1 Bangkok

Arrive at any time.

Days 2-3 Sukhothai (2B)

Guided longboat tour of Bangkok's klongs and visit to the reclining Buddha at Wat Po. Explore the ancient city of Sukhothai Historical Park on a guided bike tour.

Day 4 Lampang (1B)

Option to take a traditional horsecart ride through old Lampang.

Days 5-6 Chiang Rai Province/Golden Triangle (2B)

Visit the Elephant Conservation Centre, visit the town of Mai Sai and the Opium Museum.

Days 7-9 Chiang Mai (3B,1D)

Guided tour of Doi Suthep temple. Optional cooking class and bicycle tour. Opt to visit the Mae Sa waterfall, shop at the night market or enjoy a traditional Thai massage. Enjoy a home-cooked meal with a local family, khantoke-style, in a village outside Chiang Mai. Overnight train to Bangkok on Day 9.

Day 10 Bangkok

Options to visit the Grand Palace, Jim Thompson's House or Baiyok Tower.

Day 11 Koh Klang (1B)

After a short flight to Krabi, head to the homestay on Koh Klang. Visit a local government-supported project to help build local communities, then relax and soak in the southern Thai culture.

Days 12-13 Krabi (2B)

Travel by private boat to Ao Nang Beach. From here, opt to sunbathe, kayak, snorkel or dive. In the evening, enjoy the bars and restaurants in the area.

Day 14 Koh Phai (Bamboo Island) (1B,1L,1D)

Take a private longtail boat to Koh Phai (Bamboo Island). Enjoy camping here for the night with the beautiful beaches and stunning coral reefs around the island. Enjoy an included snorkelling trip en route.

Day 15 Railay Beach (1B)

Stay one night in a guesthouse on Railay Beach. This area boasts plenty of activities such as sea kayaking, diving, snorkelling, jungle trekking, cooking, whitewater rafting and quad biking. Feel free to lounge on the beach, too.

Day 16 Krabi (1B)

Enjoy lively Ao Nang Beach in Krabi for one more night in the south. Opt to watch the sunset on the beach.

Day 17 Krabi/Overnight Train (1B)

After a lazy beach morning, transfer to the train station for an overnight train to Bangkok.

Day 18 Bangkok

Arrive Bangkok station in the morning. Trip ends on arrival. We highly recommend booking pre- or post-accommodation to fully enjoy this vibrant city.

Days 11-12 Koh Samui (2B)

Catch a flight to the tropical island of Koh Samui. Relax on the beach or visit the bustling little town. Opt for a snorkeling trip in Ang Thong Marine Park.

Days 13-14 Koh Phangan (2B)

Take a ferry to nearby Koh Phangnan, with time to explore the island's waterfalls, swim in lagoons, hike or relax. If you're there at the right time, you can enjoy the island's famous Full Moon Party.

Days 15-17 Koh Tao (3B, 1L)

Take another ferry to Koh Tao, a haven for scuba diving and snorkelling. Included snorkelling from Koh Tao through Koh Nang Yuan. Enjoy the sea by day and a cocktail or two at night. On Day 17, travel by ferry back to the mainland and take an overnight train back to Bangkok.

Day 18 Bangkok

Arrive Bangkok station in the morning. Trip ends on arrival. We highly recommend booking pre- or post-accommodation to fully enjoy this vibrant city.
