You'll take an unforgettable ride aboard an elephant, explore the north’s Golden Triangle and cycle the streets of ancient Sukhothai before heading south for peaceful island beaches. You'll explore the perfect islands and swim in the incredible waters of the Andaman Sea and its remote islands. Itinerary Notes

Day 1 Bangkok

Arrive in Bangkok at any time.

Days 2-3 Sukhothai (2B)

Guided longboat tour of Bangkok's klongs and a visit to the reclining Buddha at Wat Po. Explore the ancient city of Sukhothai Historical Park on a guided bike tour.

Day 4 Lampang (1B)

Option to take a traditional horse and cart ride through old Lampang.

Day 5 Chiang Rai (1B)

Visit Lampang Elephant Conservation Centre for an elephant ride.

Day 6 Golden Triangle (1B)

Visit Mae Sai and the Opium Museum.

Days 7-8 Chiang Mai (2B)

Guided tour of Doi Suthep temple. Time for last-minute shopping or a cooking class before boarding the overnight train to Bangkok (flight and extra night in Chiang Mai during monsoon season, depending on conditions).

Day 9 Bangkok (1B)

Options to visit the Grand Palace, Jim Thompson's House or Thailand's tallest building, Baiyok Tower.

Day 10 Koh Klang (1B)

After a short morning flight from Bangkok to Krabi, head to the homestay on Koh Klang. Visit a local government supported project to help build local communities then relax and soak in the southern Thai culture.

Days 11-12 Krabi (2B)

Travel by private boat to Ao Nang Beach. From here, opt to sunbathe, kayak, rock climb, snorkel or dive. In the evening, enjoy the bars and restaurants in the area.

Days 13-14 Koh Phai (2B)

Take a private longtail boat to Koh Phai (Bamboo Island). Enjoy camping here for two nights with the beautiful beaches and stunning coral reefs around the island. Enjoy an included snorkelling trip to four surrounding islands.

Days 15-16 Railay/Overnight train (2B)

Enjoy one night in a guesthouse on Railay Beach. This area boasts plenty of activities such as sea kayaking, diving, rock climbing, snorkelling, jungle trekking, cooking, elephant trekking, whitewater rafting and quad biking. Feel free to lounge on the beach, too. Enjoy the morning on Day 16 before catching the overnight train to Bangkok.

Day 17 Bangkok

Trip ends on arrival at Bangkok train station. Onward travel can be booked for 3pm or later.
