After getting close with elephants and temple ruins, head south for a week of island-hopping in search of great snorkelling and cold drinks on the best beaches. Itinerary Notes

Please Note: Due to monsoon season on the west coast, we will run an alternate itinerary to islands on the east coast from May through October. See itinerary details below and take note of time of year you're travelling.

FOR TRIPS DEPARTING NOVEMBER 1st THROUGH APRIL 30th
Day 1 Bangkok

Arrive at any time.

Days 2-3 Kachanaburi (2B,1D)

Spend the night on a floating rafthouse, visit the Bridge on the River Kwai and Erawan National Park.

Day 4-5 Ayutthaya/Overnight train (2B)

Visit the historical sites of the old capital city of Ayutthaya. Opt to visit Chan Kasem National Museum and Chao Sam Phraya Museum. Overnight train to Chiang Mai (flight and extra night in Ayutthaya during monsoon season, depending on conditions).

Day 6 Chiang Mai

Enjoy this fantastic city before and after the hike. Opt to visit the Mae Sa waterfall, shop in the famous night market, take in a Muay Thai fight or take a local cooking class.

Days 7-9 Hilltribe trek (3B,3L,3D)

Trek through the hills of the north, staying in remote hilltribe villages and eating locally prepared meals. Feed and bathe the village's elephants.

Day 10-11 Chiang Mai/Overnight train (2B)

Enjoy another day in Chiang Mai, opt to indulge in a post-trek Thai massage. Overnight train to Bangkok (flight and extra night in Chiang Mai during monsoon season, depending on conditions).

Day 12 Bangkok

Return to the Kingdom's bustling capital. Opt to visit the temples missed, museums only passed by and shops only peeked in.

Day 13 Koh Klang (1B)

After a short flight to Krabi, head to the homestay on Koh Klang. Visit a local government-supported project to help build local communities, then relax and soak in the southern Thai culture.

Days 14-15 Krabi (2B)

Travel by private boat to Ao Nang Beach. From here, opt to sunbathe, kayak, snorkel or dive. In the evening, enjoy the bars and restaurants in the area.

Day 16 Railay Beach (1B)

Stay one night in a guesthouse on Railay Beach. This area boasts plenty of activities such as sea kayaking, diving, snorkelling, jungle trekking, cooking, whitewater rafting and quad biking. Feel free to lounge on the beach, too.

Day 17-18 Koh Lanta (2B)

Enjoy the time on one of the more tranquil beaches in the area, Koh Lanta.

Day 19 Krabi/Overnight Train (1B)

After a lazy beach morning, transfer to the train station for an overnight train to Bangkok.

Day 20 Bangkok

Arrive Bangkok station in the morning. Trip ends on arrival. We highly recommend booking pre- or post-accommodation to fully enjoy this vibrant city.

Days 13-14 Koh Samui (2B)

Catch a flight to the tropical island of Koh Samui. Relax on the beach or visit the bustling little town. Opt for a snorkeling trip in Ang Thong Marine Park.

Days 15-16 Koh Phangan (2B)

Take a ferry to nearby Koh Phangnan, with time to explore the island's waterfalls, swim in lagoons, hike or relax. If you're there at the right time, you can enjoy the island's famous Full Moon Party.

Days 17-19 Koh Tao (3B,1L)

Take another ferry to Koh Tao, a haven for scuba diving and snorkelling. Included snorkelling from Koh Tao through Koh Nang Yuan. Enjoy the sea by day and a cocktail or two at night. On Day 19, travel by ferry back to the mainland and take an overnight train back to Bangkok.

Day 20 Bangkok

Arrive Bangkok station in the morning. Trip ends on arrival. We highly recommend booking pre- or post-accommodation to fully enjoy this vibrant city.
