Day 1 Lima
Arrive at any time.
Day 2 Cusco (1B)
Fly to Cusco. Free time to shop and explore. Optional city tour, museums and archaeological sites.
Day 3 Sacred Valley/Ollantaytambo (1B,1L)
Full-day guided tour of the Sacred Valley and Ollantaytambo ruins along with a visit to a Planeterra-supported women's weaving project in a local community. Visit the Planeterra-supported Sacred Valley Community Restaurant in Huchuy Qosco, an indigenous village, for lunch. Shopping opportunities at a local market.
Days 4 Aguas Calientes (1B)
Enjoy a scenic train journey to the mountain town of Aguas Calientes. Optional visit to local hot springs and shopping opportunities. Those who have pre-booked and purchased the '1-day Inca Trail' hike will disembark the train at 104 km and trek to the Sun Gate for the first glimpse of Machu Picchu before re-joining the group at Aguas Calientes for the night.
Day 5 Machu Picchu/Cusco (1B)
Enjoy a guided tour of the Machu Picchu ruins. Optional visit to the Inca Bridge before returning to Cusco by train.
Day 6 Cusco (1B)
Free day in Cusco. Active options include whitewater rafting, horseback riding and mountain biking.
Days 7-8 Amazon Jungle (2B,2L,2D)
Fly to Puerto Maldonado and continue by motorized boat to the comfortable G Lodge Amazon, which boasts sustainable operational initiatives like solar panels, a recycling program and rechargeable flashlights. Guided excursions by expert naturalists to spot wildlife and learn more about the jungle. Included rubber boots while at the lodge.
Day 9 Lima (1B)
Fly back to Lima for an optional final dinner and night out.
