Day 1 Beijing

Arrive at any time.

Day 2 Beijing

Private bus to the Great Wall. Visit Tiananmen Square and have a guided tour of the Forbidden City.

Days 3-4 Trans Tibetan Rail Journey

On Day 3 in the afternoon depart on a 48-hour train journey to Lhasa. Enjoy the views while watching the scenery completely change as you climb onto the Tibetan Plateau.

Days 5-8 Lhasa (3B)

Arrive to Lhasa on Day 5. Orientation walk around Barkhor Square, Jokhang Temple, Potala Palace and either Sera or Drepung Monastery.

Day 9 Gyantse (B)

Drive to Gyantse along Yamdrok Tso.

Day 10 Shigatse

Visit to Pelkor Chode Monastery, Gyantse Kumbum and Tashilunpo Monastery.

Day 11 Sakya

Drive to Sakya.

Day 12 Rombuk/Everest Base Camp

Hike to base camp and visit the world's highest monastery.

Day 13 Zhangmu

Cross one of the most spectacular mountain passes, topped with prayer flags and wind-driven prayer wheels. You will truly feel like you are on top of the world.

Day 14 Kathmandu

Arrive in Kathmandu and you're free to explore the city.

Day 15 Kathmandu
