Day 1 Lima
Arrive at any time.
Day 2-3 Huaraz
Travel by bus to Huaraz. Free day to acclimatize to the altitude, explore the city or take optional excursions like horseback riding or biking.
Day 4 Chiquián
Transfer by private vehicle to the small Andean village of Chiquián to prepare for the trek ahead.
Days 5-11 Trekking the Huayhuash Circuit (6B,7L,7D)
7 days of trekking with an expert mountain guide along the challenging and spectacular Huayhuash Circuit. The days are spent in remote, high-altitude wilderness, surrounded by alpine scenery including snow-capped peaks, immense glaciers, emerald glacial lagoons and mountain vegetation. Nights are spent camping under the stars. Several very high altitude passes are traversed, challenging the best of hikers ready to push themselves for the ultimate reward of unmatched and remote mountain scenery unlike anywhere else on earth.
Day 12 Cajatambo / Lima (B)
Finish the trek in the village of Cajatambo and transfer by private van back to Lima.
