Day 1 Entebbe
Arrive anytime and be picked up at the Entebbe International Airport.
Day 2 Bwindi/Buhoma (B,L,D)
Depart Entebbe early and drive through magnificent countryside and tropical bamboo forest on our way to south-western Uganda (approximately 9 hours). We will make some stops along the way; at the equator and for lunch in Mbarara. We continue through stunning volcanic landscape adorned with steep sided hills covered from top to bottom in neatly terraced tea and banana plantations.
Day 3 Gorilla Trek (B,L,D)
Following an early start we are led by experienced guides as we trek deep into the forest on the slopes of the volcanoes in search of a family of mountain gorillas. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is the home to approximately half of the world’s population of mountain gorillas, the world's most endangered ape. One of Africa's major highlights, a close encounter with these amazing animals is not soon forgotten.
Day 4 Lake Mburo National Park (B,L,D)
A scenic journey takes us to Lake Mburo National park, to continue our nature and wildlife encounters in one of Uganda's most precious locations. While on a game drive or taking a walk in the beautiful environs, you may encounter eland, sitatunga antelope, zebra, impala, buffalo, vervet monkeys, and view some of the over 300 species of resident birds.
Day 5 Entebbe (B,L)
En route back to Entebbe, stop just after the town of Masaka at Mpambiire drum village to see the Ugandan drum craftsmen at work. Arrive back in Entebbe in the late afternoon where the tour ends upon arrival.
