Travel Visas

Please note that visas are the responsibility of the individual traveller. The visa requirements for your trip vary depending on where you are from and where you are going. We keep the following information up to date as much as possible, but rules do change. It is important that you check for yourself. Your travel agent can assist.

UZBEKISTAN: (TOURIST VISA)

All nationalities (apart from holders of ex-Soviet Union countries passports, but you still must check with the embassy) require visa to Uzbekistan.

Most nationalities also need an official LOI (Letter Of Invitation) before they can apply for their Uzbekistan visa. USA citizens don't require LOI. We recommend you to contact Uzbek embassy in Washington or New York (depending on where you are going to apply for visa) to check info with embassy staff. Those who don't need LOI to apply for Uzbek visa, don't need to put anything in the field "Invite Party" on visa application form.

You can obtain this letter through our visa support agent in Uzbekistan by completing our on line visa letter application. The visa support link will be sent to you or your travel agent, by email, at the time you confirm your booking. You must read the instructions carefully and fill out all the details.

HOW TO FILL IN UZBEK LOI FORM ONLINE:

- Input your name the same way it is in the passport. Uzbekistan MFA (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) is very precise about information in the application form - name should match your passport (if you have 2 or more names - all of them have to be listed under "first name"). If name on application and in passport don't match - Uzbekistan MFA most probably will deny you LOI.
- Arrival Day: your actual day of arrival to Uzbekistan. We recommend to put date one day earlier.
- Departure Day: your actual day of departure. We advise to add 1 more day on application, so your visa length will cover any unexpected delays.
- Passport copy should be saved in .jpeg or .pdf format only.
- Couples travelling should submit 1 passport copy for each member of the couple. Please, do not save 2 or more passports in one file

Please, note, that in some cases Uzbek MFA (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) might require a letter of employment - in this case G Adventures will contact you for additional information. If you don't see embassy you want to obtain your visa in the drop-down menu of the online form, please, contact G Adventures for assistance.

Your Letter of Invitation will be sent to you (or your agent) about 4-6 weeks before the trip starts.

IMPORTANT: Please note that if your country has official Uzbekistan representation (embassy or consulate), you have to apply for visa in the country of residence. If you travel prior to the trip and can not obtain visa in the country of residence, Uzbek MFA requires copy of E-ticket proving that you will be out of country long enough, and wouldn't be able to apply for visa. If your country doesn't have official Uzbekistan representative, you can apply for visa on arrival in Tashkent airport. Though, in some European countries you will need to allow extra time to send your passport to a country with an Uzbekistan embassy. We strongly recommend you to double check all visa information with the Uzbekistan embassy in your country, as rules sometimes are changed.

Once you have received your visa Support Letter you can apply for your visa by going to the Uzbekistan embassy you listed in the online application. Please, remember that it is your responsibility to check whether passport details, name spelling and dates on the Support Letter are correct. Do not obtain your visa until your trip is guaranteed to depart, which, at the very latest will be 60 days prior to departure.

We recommend to put arrival day one day earlier than your actual arrival day and departure day one day later than the date you are going to depart Uzbekistan. Filling in form in the Uzbekistan embassy you have to put the same dates as stated on your visa Support Letter.
