Travel North West to Nungwi Beach. A visit to Zanzibar would not be complete without a visit to a local spice plantation, so we stop en route for a full guided tour. These spice plantations brought the beginnings of Zanzibar’s infamous slave trade. The archipelago still produces cloves, black pepper, cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg, breadfruit, jackfruit, vanilla and lemongrass. Relax on the white sand beach, soak up the sunshine, or snorkel or scuba dive in the crystal clear waters. Hop on a dhow for a cruise just off the coast to watch the African sun go down over the Zanzibar channel.
