Photographic Tour of Italy

Gary Arndt June 10, 2013 11

This year I had the pleasure of hosting my second annual photography tour with G Adventures. This year I lead a group of amateur photographers through Italy, photographing some of the greatest and most iconic attractions in Italy.

We began our tour in Venice where we met for the first time and photographed the canals and buildings of the ancient trading city. From Venice we went by train to the walled city of Lucca in Tuscany which we used as a base to explore Cinque Terre, Pisa and Florence. From Tuscany we then went south to the Eternal City of Rome where we took a guided tour of the Forum and Colosseum and the walking tour of central Rome. We also got some stunning night shots of St. Peter’s Basilica.

After Rome we took the train once again to Pompeii were we explored the ruins of the ancient city and then visited the seaside town of Sorrento, where most of the tour group took a day trip to the island of Capri.

The tour ended with 2 days in the Amalfi coast photographing the villages hugging the rugged coast.

It was a great trip and I’m looking forward to my 2014 photography tour. Stay tuned for more details!
