Pic of the Day: An Iceland Adventure at the Goðafoss

Andrew Hickey July 18, 2013 4

The Goðafoss is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Iceland. The water of the river Skjálfandafljót falls from a height of 12 meters over a width of 30 meters. Located in the central north of the island, this horseshoe-shaped “waterfall of the gods” is a must visit when you explore Iceland.

Been there! nothing like reading a great post on a place you’ve seen. All the “fosses” (waterfalls) in iceland are awesome. But 3 stand out – Godafoss, Detifoss and Gulfoss… the memories will last for life
