Visual Adventure: Kenya

Sure, you read nature magazines, and maybe you watch the shows on TV. But have you ever considered actually striking it out on an authentic African safari yourself? It’s closer – and more possible – than you’d think. Take our Kenya Wildlife Safari trip, for example – in only eight days, you’ll have multiple chances to capture the Big Five (with your camera, of course) while trekking the African bush in a 4×4. If you want an adventure to make your friends and family jealous, this is it.

Since it’s Kenya Week here on the Looptail, we wanted to showcase some of the animals you’ll see on a Kenya safari. Of course, we’d be here all day if we were to list off all the wildlife out there on the African plains, so here’s just a taste of what you might discover in Kenya:

Kenya-Safari-Leopard-580

This big guy is sleeping off a fresh meal in the Masai Mara Game Reserve. Sweet dreams!

Kenya-Lion-580

Lion King? More like the Lion Queen!

Kenya-Masai-Mara-Cheetah-580

One of the speedier denizens of the Masai Mara Game Reserve.

Kenya-Masai-Mara-Elephant-580

Elephants roaming the grasslands at Masai Mara.

Kenya-Safari-Zebra-580

Zebra herds in Amboseli National Park. Better run before our leopard friend from the first photo wakes up!

Please note that the contest is now closed.

A trip to Africa is on the top of my bucket list of places to visit and experience all of the cultural wonder that it offers. It would be a dream to be able to be there and then when I come home to share all that has become a part of my new world vision.

I want to take my son, and he has been talking about a safari in Kenya for over 25 years. We could never afford such trip, and will have to win it.

Winning the trip is the only way I would ever be able to go anywhere, and have been dreaming about a Kenya safari for years.
