A rural street in Gambia

Small country, huge opportunities

A narrow strip of land enclosed on three sides by Senegal and 80km (50 mi) of Atlantic coastline, the Gambia makes the most of its limited confines. A developing nation just opening up to foreign travel, this tiny North African nation is known worldwide for its incredible birdlife, vast nature reserves, pristine beaches, and unique culture. The Gambia may be small in size, but when it comes to natural splendour, it's downright enormous.
