Itinerary

Day 1Lima

Arrive at any time.

Day 2Lima/Cusco(1B)

Hop a flight to Cusco. Enjoy a free day for shopping and exploring the city. Opt for a city tour.

Day 3Cusco(1B)

Spend a full day enjoying optional activities in the area.

Day 4Cusco/Ollantaytambo(1B, 1L)

Enjoy a full-day guided tour of the Sacred Valley and Ollantaytambo ruins. Stop at the Planeterra-supported women's weaving co-op before exploring the Pisac ruins. Break for lunch at the Planeterra-supported Parwa Community Restaurant in Huchuy Qosco. Finish the day exploring the Ollantaytambo ruins with a local guide.

Day 5Ollantaytambo/Aguas Calientes(1B)

Catch the scenic train to Aguas Calientes. Opt to visit the local hot springs or shop in the local market. Those who have pre-booked and purchased the '1-day Inca Trail' hike will disembark the train at 104km and trek to the Sun Gate for the first glimpse of Machu Picchu before re-joining the group at Aguas Calientes for the night.

Day 6Aguas Calientes/Cusco(1B)

Enjoy a guided tour of Machu Picchu. Opt to visit the Inca Bridge before returning to Cusco in the evening.

Day 7Cusco(1B)

Use a free day to explore more of Cusco or relax.

Day 8Cusco/Puno(1B)

Travel day by bus from Cusco to Puno. Spend some time on arrival wandering the small city.

Day 9Puno(1B)

Enjoy a guided tour of Lake Titicaca including a visit to Uros and Taquile islands.

Day 10Puno/La Paz(1B)

Travel by bus and cross the border into Bolivia, arriving in La Paz.

Day 11La Paz(1B)

Enjoy a free day in La Paz. Opt to visit the pre-Incan ruins of Tiahuanaco, the city's museums or the Valley of the Moon.

Day 12La Paz/Sucre(1B)

Fly to Sucre and explore this beautiful colonial city. Opt to visit the nearby dinosaur tracks.

Day 13Sucre(1B)

Spend the day exploring all Sucre has to offer.

Day 14Sucre/Potosí(1B)

Travel by bus to Potosí. Opt to visit a working silver mine or use some free time to explore the city.

Day 15Potosí/Uyuni(1B)

Travel through the Bolivian landscape to the town of Uyuni, the jumping off point for the 3-day 4x4 excursion to the Uyuni Salt Flats.

Day 16Uyuni/Salar de Uyuni(1B, 1L, 1D)

Enjoy a 3-day 4x4 excursion to the Uyuni Salt Flats and surrounding desert altiplano with spectacular scenery.

Day 17Salar de Uyuni(1B, 1L, 1D)

Continue to discover the Uyuni Salt Flats on a 4x4 excursion.

Day 18Salar de Uyuni/San Pedro de Atacama

Travel by 4x4 to the border and descend by bus to San Pedro de Atacama, Chile. It's a long but scenic drive.

Day 19San Pedro de Atacama

Enjoy an Included excursion to the Valley of the Moon. In San Pedro, opt to go sandboarding or mountain biking.

Day 20San Pedro de Atacama/Santiago

Drive to Calama and fly to Santiago, a vibrant capital city.

Day 21Santiago(1B)

With a free day in Santiago, opt to visit nearby wineries, take a city tour or a day trip to Valparaíso and Viña del Mar.
