Day 1 Hanga Roa

Arrive at any time.

Day 2 Ahu Akivi/Tahai (B)

Half-day guided bicycle tour to Ahu Akivi to see the only platform with the giant moai statues looking out to the sea. Continue to visit the lava tunnels before ending at Tahai, on the west coast. Enjoy a free afternoon and spend the night camping under the stars.

Day 3 Aka Hanga/Rano Raraku/Anakena (B,L)

Full-day guided bicycle tour visiting the moais of Aka Hanga before reaching Rano Raraku, the giant quarry and workshop for the creation of the enormous stone heads. A short hike before lunch and continue by bicycle to the Anakena beach for a swim and time to relax.

Day 4 Rano Kao/Orongo/Hanga Roa (B)

Half-day trek to the Rano Kao crater, the largest volcano on the island and continue on to Orongo to learn about the early inhabitants of Rapa Nui. Return by van to Hanga Roa and enjoy a free afternoon for optional activities like horseback riding, snorkelling or relaxing.
