Hike and bike your way through the beautiful canyons, glaciers and mountain passes that make the Canadian Rockies so enticing. This trip is perfect for the traveller who’s looking to actively explore this pristine wilderness but prefers a comfortable landing at night. You’ll hike the lush forests of the Kananaskis and Peter Lougheed Provincial Park, cycle to Maligne Canyon and experience the magnificent Icefield Parkway, Moraine Lake, and Yoho and Banff National Parks. Best of all, the trip begins and ends in Calgary with its convenient international airport. The only limits on this trip is group size—you don’t want to be slowed down by a large group—so dream big and get active!

Day 1 Calgary (1B,1L,1D)
Meet and greet in Calgary joining hotel at 8am. Enjoy a quick tour of Calgary before pushing onto Kananaskis Provincial Park, a diverse landscape including outstanding scenery, snow capped mountains, abundant wildlife and the cowboy feel. We head to Chester Lake Trail in Peter Lougheed Provincial Park for an introductory hike in the Canadian Rockies and then arrive in Banff around dinner time.
Day 2 Banff/Jasper (1B,1L)
Enjoy the views from the famous Icefield Parkway en route to Jasper. We stop along the way to take in the flourishing forests, gigantic mountains, turquoise lakes, tremendous waterfalls and fantastic glaciers. Hike on Parker Ridge, Bow Falls, or Valley of Five Lakes trails and enjoy a tasty lunch in the heart of the Canadian Rockies.
Day 3 Jasper (1B,1L)
Morning cycle to Maligne Canyon. Winding canyons, roaring water and exciting scenery. We end our bike ride at the canyon and then onto Maligne Lake for a picnic overlooking the lake. Hike the Bald Hills trail or choose from an optional canoe ride on the lake. Stop in Maligne Valley for wildlife observation. Keep an eye out for elk, moose, bears and even the elusive wolf!
Day 4 Jasper/Lake Louise (1B,1L)
Stop at Athabaska Glacier and Columbia Icefield en route to Lake Louise. Optional ice walk or snow coach tour. In Lake Louise we take time to savour the emerald blue waters and breathtaking scenery. Hike to Lake Agnes Tea House and then onto the Plain of Six Glaciers Trail, or walk down the easy trail to the waterfront to rent a canoe or relax on Chateau Lake Louise’s terrace.
Day 5 Lake Louise/Yoho NP (1B,1L,1D)
A day of hiking, adventure and fun in spectacular Yoho National Park, including Takakkaw Falls, the second-highest falls in Canada, and then onto Emerald Lake.
Day 6 Calgary (1B)
We start with a short walk at Moraine Lake, then a hike in Johnston Canyon before lunch in Banff. Free time for biking, canoeing or rafting and back to Calgary where our adventure ends at approx 5pm..
