There's a visit to a coffee plantation in the cloudforest, but for a bigger jolt try rappelling down waterfalls or fly across ziplines above the treetops. For a different pace, float through the canals of the Tortuguero National Park and visit turtle nesting grounds if you choose. Day 1 San José

Arrive at anytime. Arrival transfer included.

Day 2-3 Tortuguero (2B,2L,2D)

Guided boat trip through the canals of Tortuguero National Park. Option to visit the seasonal nesting grounds of the green and leatherback turtles.

Day 4-6 La Fortuna/Arenal (3B,1L)

Enjoy tortilla-making along with a typical lunch with a local family. Options to go rafting, waterfall rappelling, soak in some local hot springs or take a boat tour of the Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge.

Day 7-9 Monteverde (3B)

Guided nature hike in the Santa Elena Cloud Forest Reserve. Options to visit a butterfly garden or coffee farm, zipline through the canopy or go horseback riding.

Day 10-12 Playa Esterillos Este/Manuel Antonio National Park (3B)

Guided visit to Manuel Antonio National Park. Options to go horseback riding, birdwatching or relax on the beach.

Day 13 San José (B)

Return to San José.
