From the trails and rugged peaks of Patagonia to the incredible frozen world of the Antarctic Peninsula, this 23-day journey traverses some of the most spectacular—and remote—terrain in the world. Trek through Glacier and Torres del Paine National Parks then sail the Drake Passage and really experience the western coast of the Antarctic Peninsula.

Day 1 Arrive Ushuaia
Arrive in Ushuaia at any time.
Day 2-3 El Chaltén (2B)
Included flight to El Calafate, and then transfer to El Chaltén. Take day hikes from our El Chaltén base in Glacier National Park. Hike to Laguna de Los Tres and Laguna Torre for awe-inspiring views of the magical peaks and glaciers.
Day 4-5 El Calafate / Glacier National Park (2B)
Return back to El Calafate. Explore the Moreno Glacier within Glacier National Park. Explore the Moreno Glacier within Glacier National Park. We may spot condors, eagles, flamingos and rheas in this beautiful landscape.
Day 6-9 Torres del Paine National Park (4B,2L,2D)
Travel south into Chile to the spectacular Torres del Paine National Park. Hike through the world-renowned rough beauty of Patagonia, with breathtaking views of the three pink granite “Towers.” See unique wildlife, including vicuña, rheas and Patagonian hares. Travel by boat on Lake Pehoe amongst the icebergs of Grey Glacier.
Day 10-13 Ushuaia / the Drake Passage (4B,2L,3D)
Return to Ushuaia for one more night on the town, and then prepare for Antarctica! Embarkation on the expedition ship begins in the afternoon on Day 11. Enjoy the sunset over the Beagle Channel as you head towards Cape Horn before crossing the Drake Passage. Enjoy daily lectures from your expedition team and keep an eye out for the first sightings of icebergs, whales, and albatross following in the ship's wake.
Day 14-15 The Antarctic Peninsula & the South Shetland Islands (2B,2L,2D)
Experience some of the most unique wildlife viewing and inspiring scenery in the world as you set foot on the Antarctic continent. Attempt two shore landings per day (weather conditions permitting), and encounter gentoo, chinstrap and Adélie penguin rookeries, Weddell, crabeater and leopard seals, and orca, humpback and minke whales in the cold Antarctic waters. The peninsula also has a remarkable human history. During the voyage we will learn about some of the most important and dramatic expeditions to this remote corner of the world.
Day 16-17 The Polar Circle Crossing (2B,2L,2D)
Set off southward along the western coast of the Antarctic Peninsula, passing colossal icebergs and countless colonies of penguins.
Day 18-20 The Antarctic Peninsula & the South Shetland Islands (3B,3L,3D)
We will then turn north for the first time and head back through the 'inside passage' (depending on weather conditions) to continue our exploration of the Antarctic peninsula.
Day 21-22 The Drake Passage (2B,2L,2D)
Head back north across the Drake Passage to Ushuaia. Keep your eyes open on the observation deck for some final whale sightings! In between bird and whale watching and final lectures, relax and review the adventures of the past week.
Day 23 Depart Ushuaia (B)
