Day 1 Lima
Arrive at any time.
Days 2-3 Cuzco
Fly to Cuzco. Free time to explore the city's museums and local markets or take an optional city tour.
Day 4 Sacred Valley/Ollantaytambo
Full-day guided tour of the Sacred Valley and Ollantaytambo ruins along with a visit to a Planeterra weaving project in a local community. Shopping opportunities at a local market.
Day 5 Aguas Calientes
Train to Aguas Calientes. Optional visit to local hot springs and shopping opportunities. Those who have chosen the option in advance to hike the "1-day Inca Trail" will disembark the train at km 104 and trek to the Sun Gate and Machu Picchu, before re-joining the group at Aguas Calientes for the night.
Days 6-7 Machu Picchu/Cuzco
Guided tour of Machu Picchu and optional visit to the Inca Bridge before returning to Cuzco. Free day in Cuzco where active options include whitewater rafting, horseback riding and mountain biking.
Days 8-9 Puno
Travel day by bus from Cuzco to Puno. Visit to the floating Islands of Uros and guided tour of Lake Titicaca. Optional visit to Sillustani burial site.
Days 10-11 La Paz
Travel by bus and cross the border into Bolivia, arriving at La Paz. Optional excursion to the Valley of the Moon or explore the city's winding streets and lively markets.
Days 12-13 Sucre
Fly to Sucre. Optional activities include an excursion to the site of 60 million year-old dinosaur tracks, a city tour or free time for individual exploration of the city.
Day 14 Potosí
Travel by bus to Potosí. Optional tour of a working mine, or explore the city and visit the Casa de la Moneda museum.
Days 15-17 Uyuni/Salar de Uyuni (Salt Flats) Excursion (2B,2L,2D)
Travel to Uyuni by bus. Embark on a 3-day 4x4 excursion to the Salar de Uyuni and surrounding desert altiplano with spectacular scenery.
Days 18-19 San Pedro de Atacama
Cross by 4x4 into Chile and descend by bus to San Pedro de Atacama. Optional excursions to nearby ruins, mountain biking, or a visit to the Valley of the Moon.
Days 20-21 Santiago
Transfer to the airport at Calama and fly to Santiago. Optional winery visits, city tour or day trips to Valparaíso or Viña del Mar.
Day 22 Santiago
Depart at any time.
