Then trade the beach for the hills and a chance to trek to resilient hilltribe villages.

Day 1 Phuket (1D)

Arrive at Phuket airport for a 3pm transfer to a local school for children affected by the 2004 tsunami.

Day 2-3 Koh Phra Thong (2B,2L,1D)

Board a longtail boat for a scenic ride out to your conservation and community tourism project. While here, work on mangrove and community garden conservation, assist with the early childhood education program which includes reading, writing and swimming lessons and support artisan groups.

Day 4-5 Ban Talae Nok Community Homestay (2B,2L,2D)

Experience life in a local community that was rebuilt after the tsunami of 2004. Relax on the beach, play football with children, make soap at a women’s cooperative or spend the afternoon fishing with other villagers followed by a barbeque on the beach.

Day 6-7 Khao Sok (1B)

Enjoy your green surroundings close to the Khao Sok National Park. Optional activities include cooking classes, river tubing, kayaking and a night safari.

Day 8 Chiang Mai

Flight to Chiang Mai. Options to visit Doi Suthep temple, night markets and take a cooking class or go ziplining.

Day 9-11 Hilltribe Trek (3B,3L,2D)

Trek through the rolling hills and mountainsides of northern Thailand—home to a vast diversity of ethnic minorities.

Day 12 Chiang Mai

Spend the day wandering the town, then board an overnight train to Bangkok.

Day 13 Bangkok

Trip ends on arrival at Bangkok train station. Book onward travel after 3pm.
