Securing Your Account: A Guide to Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
To enhance account security, we have implemented Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). This document provides a guide to the new login procedure and answers frequently asked questions.
The Importance of Multi-Factor Authentication
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is a critical security measure implemented to strengthen digital access and protect user information. Its importance is predicated on the inherent vulnerabilities of single-factor authentication (that is, using only a password).
By requiring two or more distinct verification methods—in this case, a knowledge factor (your password) and a possession factor (access to your email account)—MFA creates a layered defense. This process provides a significant enhancement to account security.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is the new login procedure?
Upon logging in, you will first be prompted to enter your email and password as usual. A unique verification code will then be transmitted to your account's primary email address. Enter this code on the verification page to gain access.
An option to "trust this device" will also be presented. Selecting this option will suspend MFA prompts on that specific device for a 30-day period.
What occurs if an incorrect code is entered? Will this result in an account lockout?
After a predetermined number of failed attempts, the verification code will be invalidated. You must then request a new code to proceed with the login. Your account will not be locked as a result of this process.
What steps should be taken if the verification email is not received?
We recommend first inspecting your junk or spam folder. If the email is not located, you may select the "Didn’t receive an email? Resend" link on the verification page to generate a new code.
Is it possible to change the email address used for verification?
The verification email is dispatched exclusively to the primary email address registered to your account. To alter the email address that receives these codes, you must change your primary account email. Please contact our sales team for assistance with this process.
Does the Multi-Factor Authentication process apply to the mobile application?
No, the MFA verification process is not implemented on the mobile application. The mobile app retains its existing login functions.
What are the options for further assistance?
