G Adventures year travellers may want to get ready to receive their money transfers in Mexico after the country was recommended as a destination.
According to a study by cottages4you, an increasing number of travellers want to experience new things and learn skills while away rather than simply relax or spend time on beaches.
Leah Griffin, destination manager for Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean at G Adventures, outlined how G Adventures year travellers could be more adventurous in Mexico.
"While everyone wants to do certain things, such as visit the Mayan site of Chichen Itza, our travellers frequently seek out more authentic and exciting activities in Mexico," he said.
"This applies to not only the activities they choose to fill their time with, but also the food they seek out. For example, our chief experience officers will sometimes bring their group to a local market for lunch or dinner rather than a tourist restaurant."
With a money transfer service, such as Moneybookers, it would be possible to make the most of Mexico without having to worry about lack of funds.
