China: Giant Panda-thon
Starting in Shanghai, travel by train to Sichuan Province and the Ya’an Bifengxia Center for the Giant Panda (the largest reserve of its kind in the world). Gather bamboo for the pandas’ meals (they eat 10 to 20 pounds a day), clean their enclosures, and gather behavioral data. There’s also time for sightseeing.
