North Asia by Rail

Big place, enormous adventure

Nearly 6,000km (over 3,500 mi) of windswept plateau, taiga forest, and vast, untouched wilderness separates Beijing from Moscow. Most people choose to fly over it. As a result, most people miss out on one of the world’s last untamed frontiers. North Asia is home to a dizzying variety of cultures, languages, and remote communities, many of which can only be reached by train. This is the land of the legendary long-haul route – the Silk Road, the Trans-Manchurian, the Trans-Mongolian, and the Trans-Siberian, the longest haul of them all. For centuries, these routes have been changing the world. Now it’s time for them to change yours.
