Itinerary

Day 1Buenos Aires

Meet your fellow travellers and CEO at a 9am briefing before taking a stroll through the famous Recoleta district on a CEO-led walking tour. Take in the eclectic mix of traditions and cultures that continue to shape Buenos Aires today. Later, hop on a bike and explore the city's southern end, where people live in colourful houses and spill onto the streets to cheer for the local soccer team. Tonight, enjoy an authentic Argentine asado, or barbecue, with a drink on a rooftop patio.

Please note that this tour begins at 9am on day 1. We recommend booking pre-tour accommodation in Buenos Aires in order to ensure timely arrival to the welcome briefing and the day's activities, if not otherwise completing another G Adventures tour that finishes on the same day.

Recoleta Neighbourhood Walk
Buenos Aires2h

Head out for a CEO-led walk through one of the city's most notable neighbourhoods - the famous Recoleta, home to many of Buenos Aires' art and cultural treasures. Stroll past sights like the Teatro Colon, the magnificent El Ateneo bookshop, the University of Buenos Aires and the Floralis Generica. Visit a local cafe before ending the tour at Recoleta Cemetery, where notable figures such as Eva Perón are laid to rest.

Southern Circuit Bike Tour
Buenos Aires3h

Explore Buenos Aires' vibrant "southern circuit" by bike. Stop by Avenida de Julio and the historic Plaza de Mayo before heading into the neighbourhood (or barrio) of La Boca — home to the colourful Caminito area, where houses and buildings are painted an array of bright hues, and the lively Bombonera stadium.

Argentine Barbecue Foodie Experience
Buenos Aires

After a full day of sightseeing, enjoy a drink and authentic Argentine asado (or barbecue) on a rooftop overlooking the city. A typical asado can include cuts of grilled beef, pork, chicken, chorizo, or morcilla, cooked over an open fire called a parrilla.
