Take a ferry ride over to Robben Island for a tour into a dark side of South Africa's history. Visit the maximum security prison and see the cell where Nobel Laureate and former Prime Minister Nelson Mandela was incarcerated. Robben Island is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Take the five-minute cable car trip to the top of Table Mountain, 1,085m (3,562ft) above Cape Town, and explore the summit. This is a great spot to sit and soak up the commanding 360-degree views of Cape Town, Table Bay, the peaks of surrounding mountains, and the rest of Table Mountain National Park. The operation of the cable car is weather dependent. This activity is self-guided.
Please note that the cable car is closed every year for a 2 week period between July and August for annual maintenance.

Enjoy visiting the G Adventures-supported preschool in Shalati. Meet the kids and learn more about how the project is contributing positively to this small community. With free time, opt for a wildlife safari drive in Manyeleti Reserve in an open safari vehicle. In the afternoon, head out in our touring vehicle to Kruger NP to try to spot Africa's famous animals in the wild.
Learn how G Adventures supports accessible early childhood education in South Africa through the Hope Africa Children’s Day School. This school provides education for over 80 children under the age of five. The parents of the children are mostly rangers and lodge staff in the Kruger area. This school provides families with access to safe childcare during the day, so they can rest assured while being employed in the tourism industry. The preschool also provides two meals a day for each student. A past G Adventures’ traveller who visited the school helped raise much needed funds to have a water line, borehole, and tank installed. Thanks to her efforts, the school and community have access to water.

Visit the Manyeleti Game Reserve on a safari. Located right next to Kruger National Park, Manyeleti boasts the same fantastic wildlife as its neighbour.
Drive back to Johannesburg. Tour ends on arrival at the airport.
