Arrive at any time. Tonight, meet your CEO and fellow travellers at the welcome meeting, then head to a local restaurant to enjoy a delicious North African specialty — the famous "pastilla" — for your first dinner with the group.

Your Foodie Moment: Traditional Pastilla Dinner

Visit a famous local restaurant for a taste of classic Moroccan cuisine. Enjoy the pastilla, a savoury pie made with a flaky, layered dough called warqa. Typically filled with meat, seafood and vegetarian options may be available on request. With origins steeped in Moorish influence, pastilla is enjoyed on special occasions such as weddings, or at traditional restaurants.

Day 2Casablanca

Prepare for a full day of exploring this fascinating city. Start with a visit to Hassan II Mosque, the largest in North Africa with its world-famous minaret rising nearly 700ft high. Continue to the Habous district and stop by Pâtisserie Bennis for a traditional Moroccan pastry. See the striking Mahkama du Pacha, then head to Marchė Central and select the day's best catch for lunch. Stop by the Art Deco-inspired Mohammed V Square and modernist Notre Dame Church. End the day with sky-high views of Casablanca, before heading back to the hotel. This tour ends at approximately 6pm. For travellers continuing on to another G Adventures tour, your CEO will help facilitate the joining of the new group starting in the evening.

Hassan II Mosque Visit

See Africa’s largest mosque and the world’s tallest minaret (210 m, 689ft) with an included visit to Hassan II Mosque. Admire this massive work of art completed in 1993, and strikingly located on land jutting into the Atlantic.

Pâtisserie Bennis Habous
Casablanca

Visit a family-owned bakery in the heart of Casablanca's historic Habous district. Open since 1930, Pâtisserie Bennis is a local favourite for their handcrafted traditional Moroccan pastries, which range from sweet to savoury.

Mahkama du Pacha
Casablanca

Designed by French architect Auguste Cadet, Mahkama du Pacha is a stunning example of traditional Moorish architecture adapted for modern use. Built in the 1940s with elements such as mosaic tiling, stucco and carved cedar, it has served as a courthouse, governor's residence and parliamentary hall.

Your Foodie Moment: Lunch at Marchė Central

Explore the Marchė Central's colourful produce and fish section. Choose from a variety of fresh seafood on offer, then head to your table while a nearby restaurant prepares your seafood lunch. Markets are always a great place to observe locals going about their day!

Mohammed V & United Nations Square Visit
Casablanca

Stop by one of Casablanca's busiest public squares, a popular meeting point for both locals and tourists visiting the city centre. Admire the Moorish and Art Deco inspired architecture that surrounds the square, including the elegant Wilaya Building framed by tall palm trees.

Notre Dame Church Visit
Casablanca

The Notre Dame de Lourdes Church is a modernist building with strong angular features, built in the 1950s. Marvel at the stained glasswork, vibrant with red and blue hues, by acclaimed French artist Gabriel Loire.

City Views From Casablanca Twin Center
