This itinerary may need to change due to inclement weather conditions. This decision will be made solely at your skipper's discretion, based on the safety of the group and the yacht.

When arranging your transportation, such as flights, please take into consideration the below time restrictions for joining and departing from your group. With these times, we have taken into account travel time to/from the airport in the given destination and required time for check-in or baggage collection/immigration.

Itinerary

Day 1Split/Trogir/Adriatic Sea

Arrival day. Your flights must arrive no later than 10am in order to make it to the meeting point at the Hotel Corner in Split before 1pm to take advantage of the included group transfer to the marina in Trogir. The welcome meeting and safety briefing will take place onboard before beginning the sailing journey.

Please note, we advise travellers to book flights arriving no later than 10am in order to make it to the meeting point on time. Once at the marina an important group meeting will take place, where you will meet the Chief Experience Officer (CEO) / Skipper, and the other group members. The boat will be departing soon after the arrival meeting.

On the Croatia sailing trips, the G Adventures skipper will offer to make a food kitty for small items, such as ice, water, milk, snacks, drinks, and so on. The average amount suggested for the kitty is around EUR70 per person, per week.

Arrival Day and Welcome Meeting with G Representative

The adventure begins today. Feel free to explore, but make sure you're back in time to meet the group. Your G Representative will review the details of your tour.

Days 2–6Adriatic Sea

While traveling the Dalmatian coast by sailboat, explore ancient Roman ruins and discover secluded beaches. Opt to hike through the national park in Mljet that inspired Odysseus for years, or take a tour of the UNESCO World Heritage sites of Dubrovnik, which offer insight into Croatian culture and architecture. Anchor in the quiet bay of Milna, Hvar, and opt to experience the vibrant night life on land, and explore Korcula, the birthplace of Marco Polo. Explore the beaches as the tide comes in and shifts their shape. Enjoy free time to explore the Mediterranean port town of Dubrovnik. The city boasts plenty of churches, monasteries, fountains, and plazas to discover.

Our 16m (54 ft) nimble yacht is the perfect platform to explore the gorgeous Adriatic islands. Flexibility is key to adapt to local weather conditions, and the skipper will modify the itinerary to our advantage while sailing. Possible stops include: Hvar, Korčula, Mljet and Solta.

Brač Island Excursion

Head to Brač Island to explore its coastline and beaches, and play in crystal clear waters. Have a barbeque lunch on a deserted beach, visit local vineyards, or go for a refreshing dip in the Mediterranean Sea. Be sure to visit the island's well-known Zlanti Rat beach, where the tides, currents, and wind are constantly shifting the shape of the beach.

Head out to explore Hvar, a definite must-see and UNESCO World Heritage site. Enjoy some amazing beaches, nightlife, pop and classical music concerts, and festivals in the city that have inspired many Croatian writers and artists. This island truly has it all!

Korčula Island Excursion

Ride across the water to Marco Polo’s place of birth, Korčula, a typical medieval walled Dalmatian city and one of the Adriatic’s most lush green islands. Indulge yourself on this historic island and forget about the world around you. Discover the caves and secluded beaches that make this an attractive destination for exploration.

Mljet Island Excursion

Stay active on Mljet, well known for being a perfect place for hiking, biking, and swimming. Soak in the island's stunning scenery and peaceful atmosphere. This lushly forested island is so seductive, it's said that Odysseus came and stayed for seven years. Take a guided tour of the Mljet National Park, or bask in the green waters by the rocks.

Hop on your included transportation, with your first stop at Napoleon Fort for the best view of the surrounding islands, followed by a stop at Spanish fort (Fortica) where you can opt to buy a ticket and go in. Take a guided, scenic walk down to Hvar town through the botanical garden and stoney streets of this medieval town, with some free time to explore before driving back through the old UNESCO protected agricultural field of the ancient greeks. The last stop of the day is for dinner at a local family farm which includes a three course meal with drinks.

The Island of Vis has been an important stronghold for countless generals for millennia. Though peace now reigns on the island, there still exists a multitude of landmarks left over, such as gun emplacements and a large network of secret tunnels dug by the Yugoslav army.

This tour will take you across the island with guided stops at all the must-see attractions.

Visit the natural wonder that is Mljet National Park. Covering the entire north west portion of Mljet island, there is a multitude of hiking trails and mountains to explore.

For those looking to expand their adventures, bikes can be rented for 70 HRK for 4 hours, double kayaks for 60 HRK or a single canoe for 40 HRK.

Visit one of the most iconic caves on the entire Adriatic Sea. Enter from either the land or a tunnel from the sea, and marvel at the bright spectrum of colors created by the sun refracting into the water from outside.

Explore the large vault of the cave, and take a swim in its refreshing waters before you leave.

Day 7Adriatic Sea/Dubrovnik

Explore the Mediterranean port town of Dubrovnik. Enjoy the last night aboard, or join the rest of the group for dinner and drinks while reminiscing about the epic journey through the Adriatic Sea.

If you would like extra time in Dubrovnik after the sailing journey is finished, we recommend booking extra time.

Enjoy a final evening with the group either onboard or exploring the old town of Dubrovnik.

Day 8Dubrovnik/Cavtat

Free morning to explore Dubrovnik. Spend the night in Croatian waters.

Spend the day exploring Dubrovnik and meet back at 4pm for an important group meeting with your new Chief Experience Officer (CEO), skipper, and the other group members. The boat will be departing soon after the arrival meeting.

As this is a combination tour, some of your "crew" may depart today and you will be joined by some new travelling companions, and possibly a new CEO in the afternoon. You may also be required to change cabins or boats, but your CEO will instruct you on the day.

Welcome aboard! Before setting sail meet the skipper and the rest of the group at a welcome meeting. Your skipper should be easy to spot in a G Adventures shirt or with a G Adventures flag at the skipper table.

Day 9Cavtat/Herceg Novi

Spend a full day sailing south to Herceg Novi, Montenegro. The best beaches in this scenic area are only accessible by boat.

Visit the Villa of Yugoslavia's larger than life president, Josip Broz Tito. Renowned for his high class tastes, he built this Villa as a luxurious getaway at one of his favorite places in Yugoslavia, Herceg Novi.

Tour the lush grounds and learn more of this bombastic politician. Depending on the time of year, visit the nearby Christian Orthodox Monastery to gain a deeper insight into the local culture.

Day 10Herceg Novi/Budva

Sail to the Budva Riviera. Explore some of the most beautiful beaches in the area, nestled beneath the cliffs of Spas Hill. Well-known as the regional capital of nightlife, there no shortage of clubs along the seaside promenade.

Soak up the sun on the many picturesque rocky and sandy beaches of Budva, or explore the Old Town filled with history and monuments.

In the evening take your pick of the many bars and restaurants along the Riviera and enjoy a drink watching the sunset over the crystal blue waters.

With a 35km (22 mi) coast, the Budva Riviera is among the most beautiful coasts in the world. Take some time to unwind and explore the many rocky and sandy beaches, including Mogren beach nestled beneath the cliffs of Spa Hills.

Day 11Budva/Bigovo

Enjoy a day for snorkelling and swimming in the crystal-clear waters near the village of Bigovo. Enjoy the feel of this small fishing village.

Buća-Luković Museum & Gallery

Get up close and personal to this former aristocratic summer residence once belonging to Kotor's Bua family. The 500-year-old fortified enclosure comes with it's own Catholic chapel, solid stone defensive towers and a gallery and ethnographical museum with fishing and farming artifacts.

Marvel in Tivat's botanical gardens. All the plants and tree species planted in the garden were gifts from Bokan sailors who brought back a wide variety of exotic species from their overseas voyages.

Sail back to Dubrovnik and stop by the dramatic city walls for a photo op.

Opt to take a walking tour or head out on your own to explore the city's ancient walls. A trip to Dubrovnik isn't complete without doing this 2km (1.1 mi) walk. See highlights along the way that include Fort Minceta, Fort St. John, Fort Lawrence, Fort Revelin, and St. Luke’s Tower. There are three main entrances to the city walls, the principal one located by the Inner Pile Gates.

If you would like extra time in Dubrovnik after the sailing journey is finished, we recommend booking extra time.

Flights need to be booked after 2pm. Our aim is to be back in Dubrovnik the evening before departure day, but depending on the weather conditions, we may only get back to Dubrovnik on the final morning.
