Set off on a tour of two of Lima's trendiest neighbourhoods: Miraflores and Barranco. We’ll begin exploring Barranco on foot to see some of the highlights and street art while walking down to the Costa Verde and ocean boardwalk on our way to Miraflores. Continue by bike from Miraflores back to Barranco along the coast with great views before carrying on by foot again from the main plaza to a popular local craft brewery for some bites and beers.
Take on the Barranco district of Lima by foot! Put on your walking shoes, hit the pavement and get ready to fill up on Peruvian tapas and artisan beers. Continue to wander Barranco's bohemian streets where you can find street paintings, graffiti, art galleries, museums, and rich architecture.
Lima is a huge, busy city but you don’t want to miss these 2 neighbourhoods, which are best explored by bicycle. From Miraflores to Barranco, we ride along the boardwalk at the seafront, admiring the ocean view and pretty parks. Continue into the bohemian district of Barranco, famed for its street art and vibe. It's truly a melting pot of culture, fun and romanticism. As a reward for our hard work (well not so hard actually), enjoy a tasting of artisanal ice-cream.
After checking out of the hotel, enjoy a free day to choose from a variety of optional activities like a cooking class or take a surfing lesson. For travellers continuing on to another G Adventures tour, your CEO will help facilitate the joining of the new group starting in the evening.
Get a taste of Peruvian cuisine, visit local markets, sample exotic fruit, select fresh ingredients, and try your hand at preparing unique Peruvian dishes influenced by China, Italy, West Africa, and Japan.
Please note that if you are travelling with a family there is no age restriction on this activity and the cooking class is acceptable for children.
Dive into Peruvian history and explore a famous temple built in honor of Pachacamac or the "Earth Maker", a powerful figure considered amongst gods and worshiped during the Pre Incan era.
Grab your swimsuit and get ready to hang ten! Learn how to find and ride the waves with surfing lessons from local experts from the pebble beach in Miraflores.
