Day 1Puerto Maldonado/Tambopata
Arrive at the Puerto Maldonado airport and meet the naturalist guide to journey to the jungle lodge. Spot wildlife en route. Before dinner, head out for a night walk around the lodge.

Enjoy guided excursions led by expert naturalists to spot wildlife at nearby oxbow lakes and along jungle trails. Head upriver for an unforgettable camping experience.

Rise early to get in place at the clay lick before the birds arrive. Witness the sights and sounds of the macaws and parrots feeding on the minerals and salts of the clay. Head back to the lodge after breakfast for a free afternoon. Spot caimans on the shore after dinner.
