A team of naturalists, a boat crew, and chefs will set up camp. Go for a hike around the area and opt for a refreshing dip in the cool river. Feast on a delicious meal by candlelight before turning in early for a pre-dawn start.

Enjoy overnight camping and some exciting wildlife watching! Board a boat headed to the National Reserve and the area of Collpa de Guacamay. Set up camp on arrival, and have the remainder of the afternoon to explore the surrounding trail system of the rainforest, before sleeping under the forest canopy. Rise early to head to one of the largest clay licks in the world. Arrive pre-dawn, before the birds, and watch how they come in search of minerals and salts and the digestive properties of the clay particles. Get ready to see a large number of birds – on average, several hundred macaws and smaller parrots visit the clay lick daily, including scarlet, blue-and-yellow, and red-and-green macaws as well as chestnut-fronted and blue-headed parrots, and more! The length of the visit depends on the weather and, ultimately, the bird activity, but typically the clay lick excursion will finish up in time for breakfast at the campsite, around 08:30.
Rise early to get in place at the clay lick before the birds arrive. Witness the sights and sounds of the macaws and parrots feeding on the minerals and salts of the clay. Head back to the lodge after breakfast for a free afternoon. Spot caimans on the shore after dinner.
After what is sure to be a thrilling experience spotting the birds on the clay lick, head back to the campsite for another delicious breakfast.
Pack up camp, head back down river, and arrive back to the lodge before lunch.
The afternoon is free with options to sit on hammocks, take a dip in the cool swimming hole, or spend time at a nearby working plantation.
In the evening, head out looking for caiman (alligators) by boat before dinner.
