Head out from Reykjavik towards the Reykjadalur valley. Begin walking from Hveragerði and continue through valleys filled with flowers searching for geothermal hot springs. During the hike, stop and refresh your weary legs in the warm waters, before returning to Hveragerði and continuing on to Laugarvatn. Make sure to bring your swim suit in order to enjoy a relaxing soak in the thermal waters.

Hike around the mountain range of Hellisheiði, starting from just outside of the town Hveragerði. The volcanic water that runs from Hellisheiði rushes into a natural, hot stream in the valley perfect for a relaxing soak.
