Arrive at any time.
In the morning get to know Trinity College in Dublin, which was founded in 1592. The group will visit the library and see the Book of Kells. Take advantage of free time in the afternoon to maybe wander through Dublin Castle, visit St. Patrick’s Cathedral, check out the Medieval Quarter, or set off on a whiskey distillation tour. For dinner you’ll have Irish fare while enjoying some storytelling and music in a traditional Irish pub.
It’s onward to Cork for an orientation walk before you will be able to see more of the city on your own. You could check out the Cork County Gaol, learn about the Titanic’s voyage, or see the stalls at the historic English Market. If you are looking for a more relaxing atmosphere find a pub and grab a locally brewed pint and experience authentic Cork.
It’s off to the famous Blarney Castle today, built nearly 600 years ago and the site of the legendary Blarney Stone. Today, climb the steps to kiss the stone and spend the afternoon on a whiskey and chocolate tasting with a local expert. Still looking for fun? Tonight, opt to check out a traditional Celtic dance performance.
Enjoy a full-day driving excursion through the scenic Ring of Kerry. Witness the gorgeous views of the Iveragh Peninsula filled with historic castles, churches, and quaint seaside villages along the way. The group will return to Killarney in the evening and have free time to explore.
Head to the harbour city of Galway along the western coast of Ireland. Set out on a guided walking tour in the old city before learning more about the history of conquest that has shaped Irish culture.
Visit the Cliffs of Moher this morning and then board a boat for a cruise around the coast. It’s a great way to experience one of the most well-known natural wonders of Ireland from a different level. The group will return to Galway for a free evening to check out the local arts scene and wander the historic streets.
Head back to Dublin this morning and take advantage of a free afternoon in this dynamic city. Wander through the gardens of St. Stephen’s Green, grab a pint in a historic pub in Temple Bar, or choose to visit the Guinness Storehouse to learn more about Ireland’s famed stout. Then, opt to join the group for an optional farewell dinner at a local restaurant.
