The Breakers is the most ostentatious of the Newport mansions, a 70 room Italian Renaissance-style palazzo built by the Vanderbilt family, and we will get the chance to explore its breath-taking grandeur with entrance to the house. It was commissioned in 1893 and designed by an international team of craftsmen and artisans, inspired by the 16th century palaces of Genoa and Turin. Today, the house is a designated National Historic Landmark. Minimal walking. A historic delight.
