Day 1Naples
Arrive at any time. There is a brief orientation walk after an optional group dinner.
Welcome to Naples, home to the best pizza of the world.
Join your Chief Experience Officer (CEO) after the welcome meeting for an optional group dinner to eat the dish Naples is famous for—pizza! Your CEO will lead you on a brief orientation walk after dinner.
Hotel check-in time is approximately 3:00pm.
Please make every effort to arrive in time for this important meeting. If you are delayed and will arrive late, please inform the hotel or us directly -- contact numbers are provided in these notes. Your Chief Experience Officer (CEO) will then leave you a message at the front desk informing you of where and when to meet up.
Your Welcome Moment: Welcome Moment - Meet Your CEO and Group
Your opportunity to meet your CEO and fellow travellers, and learn more about your tour. Opt to join the group for a local meal afterwards. Don't forget to see the notice in the lobby (or ask reception) for the official time and place to meet up with the group.
Orientation With CEO
Enjoy a brief walk with your CEO. He/she will give you some tips on finding things like supermarkets, main squares, and ATMs. For more specific or in-depth information, an official guided tour is recommended.
Day 2Naples/Furore
Start the day with an orientation tour of Naples with your CEO. Afterwards, travel to Pompeii to enjoy a guided tour of the partially buried ruins before transferring to a beautiful agriturismo nestled in the hills above the Amalfi Coast. Enjoy the first of many delicious home cooked Italian dinners and one of three cooking demonstrations.
After you've had time to settle into your room, the hosts will give you a tour of the property and tell you a bit about themselves and the agriturismo's history.
Our accommodation is an agriturismo just outside of Furore. For the duration of our trip we stay at the same agriturismo. Located in a tiny village just outside of Furore, it was formerly a 16th century monastery, and the staff are incredibly friendly and hospitable. The property is surrounded by colourful gardens, open terraces, and endless staircases leading out to lemon groves and grapevines.

Pompeii Guided Tour
Walk through the ruins of Pompeii, which was buried under ash and pumice when Mount Vesuvius erupted in 79 AD. The forum, the baths and many houses remain well preserved and provide us with a glimpse of what life was like in the first century.

Cooking Demonstration
Before dinner, our local hosts will show us how to make delicious traditional regional fare, using local produce. Depending on the weather, you may find yourself picking ingredients for your meal from the vegetable patch and orchards before the lesson!

Visit the seaside town of Sorrento and enjoy an orientation walk before free time.

Refine your culinary skills with an optional cooking class. Discover the secrets of the delicious local cuisine.

Set out on the famous 'Walk of the Gods' hike, weather and conditions permitting.
Today's hike is challenging, so if you feel like seeing the sights instead, opt to visit the Basilica di Sant'Antonino, Marina Grande, or Correale Museum.
Note that this hike may take place on another day of the tour, weather depending. We will try to do this hike on the first day that has good weather conditions.

Lace up your hiking boots and get to the next stop under your own power.
Path of the Gods Hike
Set off from the agriturismo to Bomerano and follow the path along the Amalfi Coast with sensational views of lemon groves, gorges, deep valleys, woodland, abandoned farmhouses, and the sea below. Stop in the towns of Montepertuso and Positano, where there is more to explore.
Note that hikes are accessible for all travellers, but there can be sections that are more strenuous and challenging due to terrain. Please ensure you have proper closed-toe hiking footwear.

Today's focus is on food. Start off with a mozzarella-making demonstration, then learn about limoncello production, and, finally, learn how to make pizza the Italian way.

Italians (and foodies worldwide) will tell you that the texture of mozzarella is just as important as the taste, both of which can be marred by less-that-fresh mozzarella. See how it's made right before your eyes.
Your Foodie Moment: Limoncello Making Demonstration
Learn all about limoncello production (and tasting!) at a local limoncello factory. Southern Italy is known specifically for the giant lemons they use to make limoncello. These lemons can easily grow to be larger than one's head; see them in person today.
Your Foodie Moment: Pizza-Making Demonstration
Dig right into the dough and learn how to make pizza, Italian-style. Naples is the birthplace of pizza, and it's basically just right up the road (or up the coast), so this is just about as authentic as you're going to get. Guess what's for dinner? Buon appetito!

Visit Amalfi and Ravello before returning to the agriturismo for a brief evening cooking demonstration.
Free day to explore the beautiful coast starting in Ravello and it's breathtaking panoramic views. Make your way down to Amalfi either by foot or hop on a local bus and enjoy the bustle of the town. Return to the agriturismo with your appetite ready for a delicious dinner.

Take in sweeping views of the Amalfi Coast from above. Enjoy free time to visit the gardens of historic Villa Rufolo, check out the cathedral, or shop for (and sample!) local specialties like limoncello or olive oil.

Morning transfer to the Naples train station. Depart in the early afternoon.
If you opt to stay at the agrigurismo in Furore until checkout time at 11am, we will gladly help you to arrange any onward transport at your own cost.
