Continue to Isola Santa - a medieval town by a tranquil lake nestled in the mountainous valley; stop to take in the incredible scenery. Continue for the last stretch of the hike before finishing at Colle di Favilla.

Travel into the mountains toward the charming medieval village of San Pellegrino - the highest in the Appenini Alps. Opt to wander the town or head off for a short hike in the afternoon. Learn the craft of bread making from a local farmer.
Take in the breathtaking views of historic San Pellegrino. Opt to continue wandering around town, visit the museum, or visit the Sanctuary of San Pellegrino and San Bianco. Alternatively, head off for a 2 hour easy-moderate hike along rolling terrain in the afternoon. Cycle along the top of the stunning medieval city walls, zoom down into one of the many cobblestone piazzas for an espresso and a revitalizing slice of pizza, and pedal around, taking in some of the fantastic culture and architecture this little city offers, including many palazzos, churches, and towers.
Take a stroll around the Piazza dell’Anfiteatro. Historically the base of a former amphitheater in its place, the square is now home to quaint shops and restaurants.

A transfer back to Castelnuovo di Garfagnana train station is provided in the morning. Depart in the afternoon.
