After learning more about the tour and plans for the following day, you are welcome to join the leader and travelling companions for an optional dinner in a nearby local restaurant.

Please bring your passport and travel insurance documents to this meeting, as you will be required to fill out some important pre-tour administration documents.
Your opportunity to meet your CEO and fellow travellers, and learn more about your tour. Opt to join the group for a local meal afterwards. Don't forget to see the notice in the lobby (or ask reception) for the official time and place to meet up with the group.
Transfer to Ouirgane and take a mule ride up to Tasa Ouirgane.
Head out of Marrakech and up into the Atlas Mountains to the village of Ouirgane. Wind up through the trees into the hills and beyond, and notice the climate becomes fresher and the air clearer. The short drive from Marrakech gives an ideal introduction to the way of life in the mountains.

Glamorous? Nope. Authentic and dependable? You bet.
Take a mule ride through orchards amid a backdrop of high mountain peaks. Experience the traditional way of mining for salt along the way – see salt being carried on the backs of mules between each village. Please take care during the ride. Mules are domestic animals, but as they are living creatures, they can be temperamental.
Enjoy hiking through the olive groves and Berber hamlets in the Atlas Mountains. Visit ancient salt mines and view the traditional production of olive oil. Savour lunch with a local family.
Head through the Ouirgane Valley on foot. Follow mule tracks through the valley, passing by mountain villages and olive groves along the way. This is the ideal way to see the best of the Atlas area and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the mountains while taking in the traditional way of life.

Hike through the Ouirgane Valley. Follow mule tracks through the valley, passing through mountain villages and olive groves along the way.
Visit the ancient salt mines to learn about the traditional mining methods used for ages. After it's mined, salt is often transported on the backs of mules to sell between the area's villages.
Gain insight into local industry, and learn about the region's traditional methods of making delicious olive oil.
Drive to the Anti-Atlas Mountains across the spectacular Tizi'n'Test pass. Stop on the way and visit the 12th-century Tin Mal Mosque. Cycle through painted blue rocks and rock formations around Tafraoute.
In the morning, leave Ouirgane behind and drive over to the city of Taroudant. View the imposing ramparts of the city arriving through the Atlas, one of Morocco's most incredible road journeys. Taroudant occupies a lofty position between the Atlas and Anti-Atlas mountains. After a brief stop here to see some of the city, continue onward to Tafraoute in the Anti-Atlas.
A popular destination for the Berber during the summer months, Tafraoute, surrounded by almond trees, is well hidden inside the mountains.

Relax in the Atlas Mountains among the walls of the city of Tafraoute.
Explore the beauty, history, and Almohad design of the Tin Mal Mosque, which was built in the mid-12th century. It’s located in the High Atlas Mountains, standing alone above a river valley that rests below.
Cycle around the city of Tafraoute, before enjoying time to relax in the city.
Follow the cycling route from Tafraoute along paved roads, weaving through mountain passes. Enjoy some good ascents and descents to get the adrenaline flowing. Soak in the scenery as you cycle along – pink-hued mountains and various palmeries form a spectacular backdrop to the ride.

Transfer to the Moroccan coastline south of Sidi Kaouki and then walk along the coast. Set up camp for the night on the beach.
Continuing the journey through Morocco, head up along the coast from Tafraoute to the village of Sidi Kaouki. This relaxed Berber village is a world away from Morocco's bustling cities, and all the better for it.

Set up camp alongside the sandy expanse of the beach, past the whitewashed walls of the villages, for the night. Sleeping out under canvas or under the stars in this serene location is a great way to unwind.

Walk along the coast to Essaouira for a free afternoon of optional activities. There's plenty to do in the city – take to the surf or wander among the bustling souks.

The inviting surf along the beach lures visitors in. Opt to refine your surfboarding skills, or maybe take on the locals in a game of beach volleyball. If feeling in need of a rest, then unwind and wander around the markets down by the port.

Walk along the Atlantic Coastline back from Sidi Kaouki. Following the coastline, this fascinating walk passes through fishing villages and communities, gradually changing in landscape as the bustling city of Essaouria approaches and the hike ends. Enjoy some time exploring the city in the afternoon.
Wander among the souks and narrow lanes of Essaouira, or take to the surf on the beach.
Get in some beach volleyball action and enjoy the sand and sun (and some great exercise). Bump, set, spike!
Head out to catch some waves and enjoy the surf and fresh sea air.
Free morning in Essaouira, then transfer to Marrakech in the afternoon for a final evening to explore the famous Djemaa el Fna Square.
After breakfast, the morning is free to enjoy Essaouria one last time, before transferring back to Marrakech. Once in Marrakech, a great place to start exploring is Djemaa el Fna square, the heart of Marrakech, which changes its offerings throughout the day.
Perhaps end the day like a local with an optional group dinner in the famous food stalls of Djemaa el Fna.

A free morning to enjoy the best of Marrakech, or simply relax and enjoy the views around the city.
Settle in and scan the scenery from the convenience of a private vehicle.
Wander past fresh orange juice stalls and water sellers in colourful costumes reminiscent of an era past. See storytellers, magicians, and peddlers of traditional medicines as the day progresses. When the sun sets, the square fills with dozens of food stalls, and is packed with locals, entertaining chefs, and waiters. Grab a spot on a bench with other diners and try the “tanjia” (slow cooked lamb), harira soup, grilled seafood, famous Moroccan couscous, tajine, snails, or even sheep’s head (for the truly adventurous). Wash it all down with some spiced tea.
