Itinerary:
Explore India's bustling capital from a local perspective by cycling, walking, and riding public transportation through and past some of the most famous landmarks. Start the tour by taking a metro ride to Connaught Place. Cycle through colonial Delhi and pass Talkatora Stadium, the President's Palace, and the Dandi March Statue of Gandhi leading his fellow people. Continue on through residential streets towards the massive war memorial arch known as India Gate. Ride up Janpath Road to Connaught Place and climb down into the caverns of the famous Agrasen ki Baoli (stepwell) which reflects the age-old Indian water harvesting techniques from the indigenous civilization. Afterwards, take a break for a traditional Indian breakfast. Jump back on the bike and cruise to Mandi House Station where you say farewell to the bike and hop on the transportation heart of Delhi - the Metro. Get off at Red Fort Station and wander through the narrow lanes of Chandni Chow markets, Next jump on a local cycle rickshaw and enjoy the exciting ride to Khari Baoli spice market and learn about the spices and their use in Indian cuisine, also explore the Fatehpuri Mosque, a 17th century mosque located at the end of the Chandni Chowk Street. For the final mode of transportation, take the metro back to Karol Bagh Station.
You will meet for thus tour at the Karol Bagh Metro Station Gate No. 4. Then, we will take the metro to Rajiv Chowk.
From here the group will cycle from A Block Connaught Place to Bangla Sahib Gurudwara (a famous Sikh Temple), and from behind the Rashtrapati Bhawan (President’s Palace) to 11 Murti (Gandhi Dandi March Statue). From there, we will cycle through Lodhi Gardens towards the Parliament and India Gate. Then cycle to Agra Sen ki Bawri (an ancient stepwell) followed by a stop to enjoy a small south Indian Breakfast. After 2.5 hrs we will leave our cycles.
Walk to Mandi House Metro Station and make way to Old Delhi upon reaching the Red Fort station we walk towards Red Fort. Then, we take Cycle Rickshaws to Khari Baoli with stops at Fatehpuri Mosque. Enjoy a walking tour of Khari baoli spice market and then head to the metro station to return to Karol Bagh, the tour's end point.
