Family Adventures are designed for groups traveling with children between the ages of 7 and 17. Your group must include a child in order to book, and anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Arrive at any time. Arrival transfer included.
Take an early flight to Cusco, and transfer straight to the Sacred Valley upon arrival. Stop at Piuray Lake for a lakeside lunch and opt to go paddleboarding or kayaking before continuing to the hotel for the evening.
Visit a G Adventures–supported women’s weaving cooperative to observe traditional weaving and dying techniques before continuing to the Pisac Market and browse the many handicraft stalls. Dig into a farm-to-table lunch at the G Adventures–supported Parwa Community Restaurant in Huchuy Qosco and enjoy a free afternoon to relax at the hotel or take an optional visit to the Inca ruins of Moray and the salt pans of Maras.
Take a guided tour of the Ollantaytambo archaeological site before boarding a scenic train through the Urubamba Valley to Aguas Calientes, at the foot of Machu Picchu. Enjoy a free afternoon for optional excursions, including a visit to a butterfly farm or to the nearby hot springs.
Start early and head up to Machu Picchu for a guided tour of the ruins. In the afternoon, return by train to Ollantaytambo and transfer to Cusco.
Take a walking tour of Cusco, visiting through the San Pedro Market and the Machu Picchu Museum. In the evening head to the Cusco Planetarium to learn about the importance of astronomy to the ancient Inca and gaze at night sky through high-powered telescopes (weather permitting).
Catch a morning flight to Puerto Maldonado, then continue by motorized canoe to the G Lodge Amazon. Have lunch on board the boat and keep an eye out for wildlife and birds along the way. In the afternoon take an afternoon excursion with the expert naturalist guide to search for wildlife and to learn about the jungle.
Enjoy guided excursions led by an expert naturalist in search of wildlife like monkeys, otters and birds at a nearby oxbow lake and along the jungle trails. Spend some time relaxing in a hammock or enjoying the local swimming hole, then go on a caiman-spotting cruise by motorized canoe after dinner.
Board a motorized canoe after breakfast at the lodge and return upriver to Puerto Maldonado. Fly to Lima and check in to the hotel. Enjoy a farewell dinner in the evening with the group to celebrate the adventure.
