Please note: While it is our intention to adhere to the route described, there is a certain amount of flexibility built into the itinerary and on occasion it may be necessary, or desirable, to make alterations. On Day 2 of your tour you will be advised of any amendments.
The adventure begins today. Feel free to explore, but make sure you're back in time to meet the group. Your G Representative will review the details of your tour.
An early start in Colombo to catch the train. Enjoy the scenery as you head north to Jaffna, to meet your Sailing CEO and board the boat. Get settled in to your cabin and set sail from the Kurikkaduwan Jetty.
The train to and from Jaffna is not accompanied by a CEO, but you will have someone see you off and meet you on both ends.
Climb aboard, take a seat, and enjoy the ride.
Welcome aboard! Before setting sail, the skipper will deliver a short safety briefing and introduce to your new home away from home.

Visit the unique chain of limestone shoals, forming a mythical bridge connecting India and Sri Lanka. Also known as Rama’s Bridge, or Rama Setu, the bridge is wrapped in legend, and a diverse range of opinions exist about the nature of its origin.
The remote islands just west of Jaffna are home to deserted beaches and small fishing villages. Spend a day relaxing, swimming, and exploring the Nagadeepa Viharaya and Nagapooshani Amman Temples.

Explore Jaffna, the historic and cultural centre of northern Sri Lanka. Enjoy a guided visit to the Jaffna Fort.
A tour of Delft Island with local guide, will introduce you to its unique Dutch, and colonial history, archaeological sites, coral walls and wild horses. Enjoy a local seafood lunch, and swim in the waters off the coast.
This tiny island is home to only visiting fisherman, and migratory sea birds. Get the lay of the land, and explore the regenerating coral reef off the coast.
After a final morning on board, disembark at Kurikkaduwan Jetty, and begin the train trip back to Colombo. Arrive back into Colombo in the evening.
Due to the unpredictable nature of the train schedule, we do not recommend booking flights out of Colombo until the following day.
