Visit Delhi's most iconic sights, from India Gate to Jama Masjid, to discover the history, culture and people that constitute this fascinating metropolis. This afternoon, travel to Agra, home to the famous Taj Mahal.

Get an introduction to India's capital city with this half-day tour. Start the day with a visit to historic Old Delhi to explore Jama Masjid, the "Great Mosque," and enjoy its sprawling courtyard, which can hold up to 20,000 worshippers. Experience the sights, sounds and smells of Chandi Chowk as you pass through the market via rickshaw. Continue on to Raj Ghat, the memorial for Gandhi, before taking a drive to the government buildings and India Gate, a stately memorial built for Indian soldiers who died in World War I. In the afternoon, visit the I'timad-ud-Daulah (Baby Taj) and the walled city of Agra Fort.
Take a full-day tour to experience the Taj Mahal, Baby Taj and Agra Fort. The tour begins at India's most famous landmark and one of the Seven Wonders of the World: the Taj Mahal. Built by the emperor Shah Jehan as a testament of his love to his wife, Mumtaz Mahal, this stunning white marble structure draws visitors from all over the world. Proceed to the palatial Agra Fort, made of red sandstone and white marble. One of the most important battles of the Indian rebellion of 1857 happened at this fort, which caused the end of the British East India Company's rule in India. After lunch, visit Baby Taj, built before the Taj Mahal by Queen Nur Jahan for her father. Enjoy the intricate details of the structure; it was the first Mughal building faced with white marble and where "pietra dura" (precious stones inlaid into marble) was first used.

Start the day with a stop at the intricately-carved Hawa Mahal, or "Palace of the Winds," which is named for the cool breeze that comes through the structure and keeps it comfortable, even in the hot Jaipur summers. Explore the magnificent Amber fort, famous for its unique mixture of Hindu and Muslim architecture, before heading to the Jantar Mantar observatory to see how people looked at the stars and planets in ancient India.
